I don't see any classics in there!

  2. Anonymous apparently didn't look close enough. Sir Walter Scott and Jane Austen are definite classics :)

So is the Feist series worth reading? I really liked his first trilogy (Magician), but I've not been as impressed with the rest.

Also, I'm curious as to whether you liked "Angelfire East." I loved that set, but I've not met many others who liked it.

  3. Anon-in addition to what the OTHER DJ said :-), The Idiot, a RUSSIAN classic, counts as 3 regular classics in my opinion. Reading that earned me mega-kudo's in ALL reading clubs :-)
I have about a 10% classical part. Satisfies me :-)

DJ-yes, the first 2 were worth reading. The third really should have been the beginning of the next trilogy. I agree about Magician. I own those, but none of the other series, not good enough.

Word and the Void. oh man, that series. I did not like the series at all. It was pure dualism, with good barely staying one step ahead of evil, if that. However, I thought they were his best writings to date. and with his new Crossover series to the Shannara series, I considered them good enough to buy. But I didn't like them, they completely depressed me.
